Reinventing the review
Client: MIFF Melbourne International Film Festival
We all experience films differently. To promote culturally diverse films at the Melbourne International Film Festival we created a new way to experience film through content, using the human senses of taste, smell, vision, hearing, and touch.
Six films were reviewed by local, culturally diverse artists and social influencers, Each was invited to a private MIFF film screening from the 2018 program. They were then tasked with crafting a piece in their individual mediums inspired by their viewing experience.
The process became short films themselves shared online, spread through the influencers channels, the festival website and experienced first-hand in locations around Melbourne during the lead-up to and during the festival.
