  • Patrick Baron is a Brand, Creative and Strategic Manager specialising in Marketing, Communications, and Advertising. With expertise in Social and Digital Storytelling, Brand Strategy, Creative Leadership, and Integrated Content Marketing. 

    Currently, Patrick operates on a freelance and consulting basis in marketing and advertising, both in Australia and internationally.

    Patrick joined the world’s largest humanitarian organisation, Red Cross as Head of Brand and Creative Marketing, where he championed human-centered storytelling. Enhancing the organisation's reputation as a trusted global entity, developing their brand guidelines across digital and social platforms. Raising funds and awareness for those who need help the most.

    Patrick's creative marketing has been recognised for its effectiveness excellence, including the Cannes Lions Grand Prix for Effectiveness (V/Line) and an EFFIE Grand Prix for Effectiveness (University of Melbourne). Additionally, he was honored by the Australian Creative & Effectiveness AC&E Awards as the inaugural 'Creative of the Year.'

    During his tenure as Executive Creative Director in Advertising, McCann became Australia's top-ranked agency for Effectiveness by WARC, was listed among the top ten agencies in the world by WARC, and was recognised by the Effies as APAC 'Marketer of the Year.' Patrick continues to contribute as an EFFIE’s award judge.

    Notably, Patrick is the only Australian Advertising Executive to be appointed to the One Club for Creativity ‘International Board of Directors’ in New York, his creativity awarded by TED and housed in the London Design Museum.

    He has been named Campaign Magazine APAC Australian ‘Creative of the Year,’ listed by Advertising Age as the ‘World’s No.1 Creative Director & Art Director,’ and recognized as the ‘World’s No.1 Art Director’ and ‘World’s No.4 Copywriter’ by Directory Big Won. His campaign “Dumb Ways to Die” was also noted as the ‘Most Awarded Campaign’ in the History of Cannes Lions.

    Patrick has collaborated with some of the world's most renowned brands, including Toyota, Coca-Cola, Mastercard, Google, Microsoft, L'Oreal, Cathay Pacific, Nestle, and Ford. He has also worked with non-profit organizations and government entities such as Red Cross Australia, Worksafe, the Department of Health COVID-19 Response, the Hunger Project, Seeing Eye Dogs Australia, Sustainability Victoria, the Victorian Responsible Gambling Foundation, and the University of Melbourne. Moreover, he has been involved with infrastructure and transport organisations such as Metro Trains, V/Line, Melbourne Airport, Cathay Pacific, and PTV Transport.
